Marshmallow Root Marshmallows

A nourishing twist on a classic treat, blending the soothing power of marshmallow root with honey, hormone-balancing botanicals, and amla for hair and vitality support.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup marshmallow root infusion (divided: ½ cup for gelatin, ½ cup for honey)

  • ¼ cup grass-fed beef gelatin

  • 1 cup raw honey

  • 40 drops hormone balance extract/tincture

  • 2 tsp Indian gooseberry (amla) powder

Instructions

  1. Make the Marshmallow Root Infusion

    • To the LEVO infusion machine, add marshmallow root and water and infuse for 2 or more hours.

      • In a small saucepan, simmer ½ cup marshmallow root in 1 ½ cups water for about 15–20 minutes.

    • Strain, reserving the liquid (you’ll need about 1 cup of strong infusion).

  2. Bloom the Gelatin

    • In the bowl of a stand mixer (or large mixing bowl), add ½ cup of the cooled marshmallow root infusion.

    • Sprinkle the gelatin over the top and let sit for 5–10 minutes to “bloom.”

  3. Cook the Honey Syrup

    • In a saucepan, combine the honey with ½ cup of the marshmallow root infusion.

    • Heat gently until it reaches about 240°F (soft ball stage), then remove from heat.

  4. Whip It Up

    • With the mixer running on low, slowly drizzle the hot honey syrup into the bloomed gelatin.

    • Increase speed to high and whip for 8–10 minutes until fluffy and light.

  5. Add the Botanicals

    • Beat in the hormone balance drops and amla powder until well incorporated.

  6. Set & Slice

    • Pour mixture into a parchment-lined pan and smooth the top.

    • Let set at room temperature (4–6 hours) or in the fridge until firm.

    • Slice into squares, dust with extra marshmallow root powder if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

  • These marshmallows are functional as well as fun — pairing the hydrating mucilage of marshmallow root with adaptogenic and hormone-supportive herbs.
